Job Description: "Innovare Strategies NW is seeking an exceptionally bright and self-motivated individual for a part-time, limited duration, position to help support our client initiatives during the upcoming 2019 Oregon Legislature. Primary duties will be to provide administrative and policy support, including legislative bill tracking, preparing briefing materials, calendaring, event planning, and office management tasks as needed. The role will also support the team and coalition partners on project-based matters related to external policy engagement, projects and initiatives. Finally, this role will assist with specific day-to-day deliverables and big picture projects. Other administrative support as needed.The position requires superior attention to detail, writing/proofreading proficiency, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to efficiently multitask. A flexible and positive attitude is a must. The successful candidate will be able to create new processes for communication and correspondence and improve upon existing mechanisms. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual who would like to gain greater knowledge of the legislative process."

Qualifications: 
 Bachelor’s degree or at least three years of higher education
Demonstrated interest in public policy
Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment
 Thoughtful, adaptive, and positive mindset
Highly resourceful, reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills   Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Access
Able to work in Salem, Oregon at the State Capitol during the 2019 Legislative session
Valid driver’s license and insurance
Ability to lift 20 lbs from ground to waist 
Evening/Weekend work may be required for special events
