Room for rent in Sherwood

Looking for a clean, responsible female roommate to share a lovely house in Sherwood. Beautiful 2,709 sqft home with 6 bed 3.5 bath.  Large yard looks out onto green space, large deck, covered patio, fire pit, hardwood floors, double-sided fireplace.  Close to shopping, dining, and a beautiful park. 15 minutes to Newberg, 20 minutes to Portland.

The room for rent is on the top floor, has a view of the trees, is unfurnished except for shelves in the closet (optional: twin bed available).  You would share a bathroom with one other person.  The house will have four women total creating a supportive community that prays together. 

Asking $550/mo for room, plus utilities (about $110-150 more). Security deposit of one month’s rent prior to move in. Garage privileges extra. References and background check required. Room is available beginning of August.

About me:  I teach undergraduate psychology at George Fox University.  I come from Hawaii, and have lived in Oregon since 2006.  I'm not married (yet), and love both peace & quiet and activity & company.  I am generally easy-going and cheerful, but very busy during the school year.  I love the Lord, ministry, and missions.  I like to hike, birdwatch, dance, go to movies, and play board games (though work often pushes these activities off my calendar).  Two other roommates are Christian professional women.  Graduate student preferred, but will consider an undergraduate if there is no chance of conflicting roles.

No smoking or drugs.  There are two cats in the house, and that is enough.
