Duration of Need: (We need these exact days and times)

2:30-5:30 - Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays 

Job Functions:

Reflect love, nurture and care toward children & families.
Reflect motivation, enthusiasm, take initiative and be a self-starter.
Comprehend and complete oral and written instructions prepared for the day and execute routine classroom activities, including curricula, serving meals and assisting with potty training.
Maintains an environment of nurture, active learning, fun play and works with students to reinforce learning objectives.
Care-give and teach students of various backgrounds, ages 2-6 and various developmental needs.
Exercise good independent judgment in the best interest of the children, within a variety of situations, including emergencies.
Implement the preschool’s beliefs and values, including discipline approaches.
Communicates well with primary teacher, assistants and parents.
Learn and implement preschool policies and procedures including state and federal mandates.
Maintain confidentiality.
Able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 40+pds, and is able to kneel & climb.
Committed and Reliable
Enjoys the following:

2-4 yr olds
Greeting parents and students
Playing with students indoors and outdoors
Teaching students through art & science projects
Assisting students during activity transitions
Educating students about health & wellness
Reading to students
Working in a team environment
Education & Experience:

High school diploma required.
One year experience with 2-6yr old children (in a licensed facility preferred) OR
a degree in or working toward Early Childhood Education AA, OR
a BA in in the fields of ECE, teaching, social work, psychology, child & family studies, sociology, social sciences, etc. Degree or working toward degree in the field is preferred.
Must be willing to complete after accepting position:

Background check through central Oregon background registry
CPR & First Aid (including infant)
Child Abuse & Neglect
Food handler’s certification
Intro to Health and Safety
Pay: $13.00-16.00/hr Depending on Experience & Education
