The Chehalem Cultural Center seeks an innovative, organized, and professional Marketing Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the creation, implementation, and measurement of the success of a comprehensive marketing program that expands the organization's visibility, enhances its public image, and increases its audience base. The ideal candidate will possess clear and creative written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to multitask. Key Responsibilities:
Leverage and maintain a broad range of social media to increase the organization’s visibility and online presence
Compose and send out timely email blasts and monthly newsletters of upcoming events with Mail Chimp
Maintaining website content on Squarespace
Coordinate the production of promotional materials and collateral with design contractorsWrite and submit all press releases
Utilize analytics to determine impact of social media, newsletter distribution, and website
Create and maintain active press list Building and maintaining relationships with community partners through outreachSecure and coordinate media interest and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests
Participate in the development and execution of strategic marketing plans and budgets 
Other responsibilities as assigned and as the candidate grows in the position

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Part-time, 20 hrs/week with flexible schedule
Due to the nature of social media, flexible hours are sometimes required including some nights and weekends.
Some office hours required, but hybrid remote and in-office work OK. Will be negotiated upon hire. 
Office hours are performed at a sitting or standing desk in a shared open office

Compensation$16-18/hr DOE with paid vacation, and sick leave, retirement savings plan

Skills and Experience:
2 years experience in marketing, preferably for a non-profit organization
Experience creating content and managing social media accounts for business
Experience in developing comprehensive marketing plans, preferably for non-profit organization Experience implementing SEO, and doing website management Experience developing, writing, and submitting press releases
Experience in interfacing with print, radio, tv, and online media
Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Google Drive, social media, Mail Chimp; experience with Squarespace, Adobe Suite and Canva highly preferred
Bachelors degree, preferably in business, communications, marketing, or equivalent experience in the field
Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
Ability to gracefully take direction as needed
Ability to perform job duties with little or no supervision
Excellent time management with ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with diverse groups of people, both internally and externally Highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, and strategic, with integrity, and a sense of humor

Awareness of current social media and marketing trends
Commitment to promoting justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion
Experience working with and/or knowledge of non-profit business models
Bi-lingual Spanish/English

About Chehalem Cultural Center:
Located in Newberg, Oregon the Chehalem Cultural Center celebrates the arts, community, education, and heritage. It houses two visual art galleries, a state-of-the-art ceramic studio, three multipurpose art studio classrooms, recording studio and four music practice rooms, meeting rooms, a small theatre space, and a large 5,200 square foot grand ballroom appropriate for public and private events.
