The Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) at Bethel Korean Church in Beaverton is a storied academic program preparing children in grades 1 through 6 for the upcoming school year in a safe educational environment within the church facilities. The SEP serves as part of Bethel Korean Church’s education mission and has been an important church ministry since 2012. Administrators, teachers, and staff are Christians with a heart for cross-cultural ministry, often from the Korean-American community and excited about helping young people prepare for a brighter academic future (while having some fun along the way). During the program, children are arranged in classes by grade level with a teacher and a TA, studying some of upcoming school subjects, and enjoying various supplemental learning activities (foreign language, music, art, etc.) Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. The group embarks on field trips on several Fridays during the program, and everyone enjoys a final performance on the last Friday. The SEP Principal’s vision for the program is to build future global missionaries and community leaders who find their citizenship in heaven through Christian education. To make this work, we need the help of full time teaching staff. Come join a fantastic program with a wonderful group of people!
