Description: Building Maintenance Assistant - Part-Time - Job Description ● Accountable to: Building Manager, Office Administrator, and the committee of Trustees ● Purpose: To assist the Building Manager with the ministry of the church by providing care, maintenance, and security of church buildings and grounds. ● Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the church facilities: o Assist with ongoing and preventative maintenance on building systems. o Assist with contracted plant maintenance and ground upkeep o Assist with ongoing contract commitments. ● Responsible for events at church facilities: o Help with event set-up and tear-down. o Help with vehicle operations and upkeep. o Assist with cleaning and maintaining the parking lots o Provide emergency “on-call” services when requested from the Building Manager. o Perform other requests as needed through the Building Manager. ● Responsible with other staff: o Work with and assist custodial staff when asked. o Work with and assist security staff when asked. ● Position Requirements: o Work Environment: Indoors and outdoors, operation of machinery (vacuum, ladder, hammer, power drills). o Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking, driving.
