Description: Location: Newberg, OR (5 minutes from George Fox University campus) Schedule: 2 days a week, 8.5 hours per day 8:30-5:00 Pay/Rate: Competitive / Negotiable based on experience Start Date: ASAP About Our Family & Baby: We are looking for a reliable, warm, and engaging nanny for our sweet and calm 10-month-old baby! We live just 5 minutes from George Fox University. Mom works nearby and comes home for lunch to check in, with occasional remote workdays. ASL & Communication Needs: Our baby is hard of hearing, and our primary home language is American Sign Language (ASL) as we are intentional about creating a language-rich environment. Prior ASL experience is not required, but a strong desire, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward learning and using basic ASL with our baby daily is essential! Key Responsibilities Attentive Infant Care: Feeding, napping, playing, and encouraging developmental milestones in a safe and engaging environment. ASL Language Immersion: Willingness to learn and consistently practice everyday signs (e.g., more, eat, milk, all done, play). Light Housework: Keeping things neat by cleaning up after mealtime/dishes and tidying up baby-related toys and areas used during the shift. Requirements: Prior experience caring for infants/young children. Patient, reliable, and nurturing demeanor. Openness and eagerness to learn ASL. CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain). Non-smoker with reliable transportation.
