About Us and our Family

Hello, my name is Marlyss, and I am the Club Manager for a local winery. My husband Jonah is in the Army Reserves as well as excavation on the civilian side. We are the parents of two beautiful girls (age 10 months and almost 3).  While my husband works full time out of the house, I split my full-time job between the home and office. Our girls are amazing and while I have been able to put in many hours from home over the last few years, the older they get the harder it is to put in those hours remotely. I am looking for someone who can spend time with our kiddos on Thursdays (partial or up to a full day– mornings or 8:30am-5pm-ish) while I get in some more in-office time. Any flexibility to cover the occasional weekend day would also be great as my husband Jonah leaves 1 weekend a month for army training.


Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Every Thursday (8a-12:30p or up to 8:00a-5p)
• Occasional weekend day – preferred but not required
• $18-$20/hr based on previous relevant experience
• Paid by check
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our girls to thrive and develop.
• Aide in educating the children about proper manners, health and personal care habits, and toilet behavior, providing assistance as needed.             
• Instill healthy habits in the children balancing fun activities with daily responsibilities.     
• Tidy common living space/girls room as needed
• Food prep for lunches, snacks, etc as needed throughout the day


Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, degrees in early childhood education preferred but not a deal breaker
• 1+ years of professional nannying experience
• Minimum 20 years of age
• Reliable car
• Willing and able to pass background checks
• CPR and First Aid certified (strongly preferred)
• Attentive (please avoid texting or looking at social media while on the job)
• Fun, creative, and energetic
