You’ll help young athletes build confidence, enjoy movement, and achieve their individual goals. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a balance between teaching
fundamental gymnastics and helping advanced students refine their skills.
Responsibilities
Plan and lead gymnastics sessions that balance skill development with fun, catering to a
range of experience levels, from beginners to advanced students.
Use engaging games, drills, and progressions that introduce gymnastics basics while
keeping sessions exciting for younger athletes.
Develop training exercises that challenge and motivate more advanced students to refine
their skills and reach personal goals, while ensuring enjoyment and positivity remain
central.
Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages children of all skill levels to explore
gymnastics, build friendships, and support each other.
Provide individualized feedback and positive reinforcement to support each child’s
growth, focusing on both enjoyment and safe skill progression.
Communicate with parents and guardians to share each child’s progress, answer
questions, and discuss goals.
Assist with general gym maintenance, equipment setup, and cleanup to maintain a safe,
organized environment for training.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in gymnastics, cheer, physical education, or similar athletic programs,
especially with teaching or coaching youth at various levels.
A balanced approach to coaching that combines technical knowledge with a focus on
creating an enjoyable, supportive atmosphere.
Knowledge of gymnastics principles, training progressions, and safety protocols across
beginner to advanced levels.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, approachable style for
working with children, parents, and staff.
A genuine interest in nurturing young athletes' skills, confidence, and love for gymnastics,
no matter their starting level.
