This is your opportunity to make a difference in a small, progressive, rural church community. Smyrna United Church of Christ in Yoder, Oregon (midway between Canby and Molalla) is creating a new, part-time position of Office Administrator and is seeking someone who can collaborate as well as innovate in a relaxed, LGBTQ+ affirming environment. Previous experience in bookkeeping, administrative support or facilities management preferred. Knowledge of Quicken or Quickbooks required.
This position provides administrative support to the pastor, congregation, and the public. Duties would at various times include:
Assist the pastor as requested.
Manage and update the church calendar and bookings.
Process correspondence in all forms.
Maintain office and church supplies
Help maintain membership records.
Communicate and collaborate with and between pastor, church members and the public.
Assist with transacting and recording financial matter
Respect at all times the confidentiality of the information you work with
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week, may be increased to 15 hours per week if needed and agreed between pastor and employee
Flexible scheduling, start date will be determined with the applicant
